The NGO KARIT, “Solidarios por la Paz” (Solidarity for Peace), of the Carmelite Family in the Iberian region (Spain and Portugal) has a valuable initiative:
To face the health and food emergency that the Covid-19 pandemic has generated in those places where it usually helps in solidarity through development projects in education and health.
These places are Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Peru, Rwanda, Mozambique and Timor. In each of these places, Carmelites in mission or local Carmelites are the counterparts that support these projects.
The Carmelite NGO fully supports this Health Emergency Campaign and welcomes the initiative.
The campaign is accompanied by a series of videos, “Our counterparts tell us“, that reflect the situation and the needs that they are having in these communities, in different countries.
