Earth Day gave voice to an emerging public consciousness about the state of our planet.
Today, Earth Day is recognized as the largest secular observance in the world, marked by more than a billion people every year as a day of action to change human behavior and create global, national and local policy changes.
The Carmelite NGO will observe Earth Day with a liturgy
REV. EDUARDO AGOSTA SCAREL, O.CARM. will give an introduction
REV. HARIAWAN ADJI, O.CARM. will be the celebrant
We invite the Carmelite Family members to join us at home to celebrate Earth Day by saying a prayer or doing a liturgical action or symbol. Please, share your home celebration by sending us via e-mail a text and images to illustrate. They will be posted in the News section.
The Carmelite NGO made this Liturgy from the grotto at the House of Mercy in Malang, Indonesia, where only the residents attended, and the Carmelite house in Salamanca, Spain.
REMEMBER: We are ALL still under STAY AT HOME / DO NOT ALLOW VISITORS IN YOUR HOME.
