The press release of the Spanish Meteorological Agency (AEMET) realizes that the month of February 2020 has been extremely warm in Spain.
With an average temperature 3 ºC higher than the normal value, it has equaled February 1990, although in 2020 the maximum temperatures have been higher.
It has also been an extremely dry month: rainfall has been so scarce in most of Spain, that it has only rained 17% of normal.
This makes February 2020 the driest since there are records.
