The Pope adds that \u201calthough the post-industrial period may well be remembered as one of the most irresponsible in history, there are reasons to expect humanity at the dawn of the 21st century to be remembered for having generously assumed its grave responsibilities.\u201d Francisco states that Concern for the natural world is no longer \u201coptional\u201d but is an integral part of the Church\u2019s teaching on social justice.<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-324\" src=\"http:\/\/carmelitengo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Equipo-Curriculum-LS.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"647\" height=\"298\" \/><\/p><p>Along these\u00a0lines, this Curriculum is intended to help young people to fulfill Pope Francis\u2019 invitation to pay special attention to God\u2019s creation, to realize that we need each other, and that we have a responsibility personal to others and the world in which we live.<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-319 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/carmelitengo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Curriculo-LS-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/>The Curriculum offers a progressive and experiential learning design, so that students, guided by environmental sciences, the Word of God and the richness of Carmelite spirituality, can integrate into their lives an integral ecological awareness of the responsible care of the Earth, the only home for everyone.<\/p><p>This lesson plan on environmental issues and the care of creation was developed with the participation and contributions of the Congregation of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, the Province of the Most Pure Heart of Mary of the Order of the Carmelites, the Catholic High School \u201cSalpointe\u201d , the Singing for Change Foundation, the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia, the Little Flower Society and individual donors.
