Season of Creation, from September 1 to October 4

The Carmelite NGO joins in the Christian celebration of the Season of Creation

This year the theme is “Listen to the voice of Creation” like a “burning bush” (Ex. 3:1-12).

For the Season of Creation as a time of reflection, action and celebration for the care of Creation, it is important that the community is engaged and inspired. We invite you to use these resources to share the word with your community, invite your bishop, pastor or other regional authority to join in the celebration, and even take the action to audiences outside the Church, reaching out to local media.

In his message for this Season, Pope Francis said that “it is an opportunity to cultivate our ecological conversion” and asked that we “return to pray in the great cathedral of creation, enjoying the ‘grandiose cosmic choir’ of countless creatures singing praises to God.”
